Mount Mansfield is the highest peak in the Green Mountains, about two thirds of the way up the State of Vermont, east of Lake Champlain. Its long summit ridge contains peaks called The Forehead, The Nose, The Chin, and The Adams Apple, all just above the tree line. The Chin is the highest point on the ridge.
